Shaikhdara valley

Shaikhdara (Arabic: شيخ دره‎) is an area in Kohistan District of Khyber-Pakhtunkh waprovince of Pakistan. Shaikh is Arabic for 'Islamic scholar' and Dara means valley so Shaikhdara means 'the valley of Islamic scholars'.

As it is hilly area and surrounded by mountains so the elevation changes at different places thus highest elevation from sea level is about 2,700 m (8,900 ft) and lowest elevation 1,600 m (5,200 ft).Total area occupied is 2.515 km2 (0.971 sq mi).
